The 2010 edition of the prestigious international career award GOLDEN FOOT has been introduced today on Radio Monte Carlo. The international prize is given every year to greatest players in history of football in the Principality of Monaco under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and promoted by World Champions Club and Tourism Office of Monaco. With the contribute of the 2009 winner Ronaldinho, the new candidates have been announced: David Beckham (England), Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast), Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Steven Gerrard (England), Ryan Giggs (Wales), Carles Puyol (Spain), Raúl González Blanco (Spain), Clarence Seedorf (Netherlands), Francesco Totti (Italy). The names have been chosen by the GOLDEN FOOT jury, composed by 50 journalists representing sports media all over the world. The winner will be chosen by football fans, who will decide the star who will leave his footprints on the CHAMPIONS PROMENADE, football “Walk of Fame”. You can vote by our website www.goldenfoot.com until 12.00 GMT (Monte Carlo time) of next October 8. The award will be given on October 11 in Monte Carlo.
